Lyris Laser Studio got its start through Kickstarter, and we’ve had the privilege of supporting a number of other Kickstarter campaigns with laser-cut items and deluxe editions!

Contact Barry Figgins at [email protected] to talk about your ideas and get a quote. Providing your backers with a unique, beautiful, and high-quality deluxe edition is more affordable than you might think!

Tower (Undine Studios)

I was contacted by Undine Studios to produce the laser-cut wooden tiles for the Tower Collector’s Edition, but Ben Haskett was so impressed with my work that I ended up doing laser-cut cards, randomizer tokens, and player tokens, as well as creating an insert for the collector’s edition boxes.

Vye (Sand Hat Games)

For Vye, I designed and produced a beautiful wooden collector’s edition box with lift-out token trays, as well as the colored and engraved tokens for each player. Sand Hat Games wanted a box that was high-quality and elegant, and I was able to give them that while also keeping the price within their budget.

Project Dreamscape (Undine Studios)

Ben Haskett from Undine Studios came calling again for his next Kickstarter project, and asked me to create a collector’s edition box and tokens for Project Dreamscape. When he saw the final prototype in person, he was speechless at how beautifully it had worked out. I also came up with the idea of adding a flat coin tray; we were frustrated about how to fit a compartment for the coins into the limited space available, when I realized that we didn’t need to have a compartment at all.

The Majority (Ninja Star Games)

When Ninja Star Games needed 3,000 wooden tokens for their collector’s editions, they contacted me. Thanks to our large-scale laser cutter, we were able to fill these orders in less than a week.

Wooden Money Tokens (The Broken Token did the box, and I did the engraved tokens.)

Foodtown Throwdown (Argyle Games)

For this game of dueling food trucks, I went a bit overboard, designing a three-dimensional food truck with a slide-out rear panel, large enough to hold the game box. It totally redefines what a ‘deluxe box’ can be!

Trainmaker (Grey Gnome Games)

D6 Shooter (Epic Scale Games)

For this cowboy-shootin’ dice-rollin’ game, I built a custom crate designed to hold the retail game box, with a removable insert for all the game’s components. I also included a set of skull tracking tokens with each box.
