My business cards for Lyris Laser Studio always make an impact. People are amazed at the intricate cutouts, and they never just throw it away.

Basic Cost: $50 for 120 cards.

The initial cost only covers cutting out the cards themselves. I charge $25 per laser-cut design element.

For example, on my business cards, the Lyris Laser logo is one design element, and the laser starburst is a second design element. So the total cost of my business cards would be $50 + $25 + $25 + $10 shipping for a total of $100 for 120 cards.

Material

My cards are made out of lightweight MDF. This is a type of compressed wood, about 1/8 inch in thickness. It’s commonly used for cabinet backings.

Coloring

I can apply a wood stain to your entire card, giving it a colorful tint. I keep the primary and secondary colors in stock (red, blue, yellow, green, purple, orange) as well as black, white, and gray.

I charge $10 to apply a color to all of your cards. This is just the front – if you want the backside to be the same color, add an additional $5.

The color is applied evenly to the entire card. Full-color images are not possible, and detail work is also not possible (though you could, of course, paint your cards yourself after you receive them).

Shipping is $6 for up to 240 cards.

Design Setup

As long as I can set up your design quickly, I don’t charge a setup fee. If you’d like help designing or laying out your card, I can certainly help with that, although I’ll have to charge for my time as a designer. I keep my rates fair, though, and I’m happy to help!
